They say it was a mountain, in before times, in the past Now sand has covered all / it's underground but still it lasts And all that I've known so far away; I'm walking away This sight by light of night so much different when seen by the light of day There has to be more out there in the ruins far from me It has never been done but I must go I must see All that I have known so far away; I'm walking away This sight by light of night so much different when seen by the light of day. Ancient places no one can explore, I have to know more Yet night's light brings dangers so much stranger that what I have seen before...

walking through the wreckage and taking what we can cannot say a better way or claim we have a plan possessions give purpose and goods to redeem the foolish and dead can dream years beneath the surface we dreamed of better days all the while the world dissolved and nothing we survey now has any meaning beyond the things we need the drive of our life is greed we we are never wrong and this world is here to satisfy our needs all that we know is the same and nothing changes so we travel onward wherever it leads who'd imagine bluebirds and the songs they'd sing or believe in love and hope or other useless things we're aware of scorpions and other things that sting the strongest are always king who could get there first will be the one who takes the prize second helpings are a myth like different colored eyes all the same and all alone and marching over sand this is not a changing land we have heard the stories of life begun anew but see no signs of life in anything we do we would come to reap the wealth from life underground but people have not been found travelling at night because the daylight hurts to see cold and slow and constant is the cure for misery then beneath the moonlight a stranger walked right through and now we are watching you

Walking down, moving forward the past is cold beneath my feet and turned on its side A darkness faces me I head a sound from the distance can't say what makes it yet from all around me still moving sideways, down It's like home here.. yet not.. the walls are built the same stripped of comfort cold, stone remains..

This thing is moving fast as it climbs "Can we slow down? can we slow? First I must know" why were you trapped all this time? (what is that I've let go?) ___ never mind the pace I make this world has lost a chance to take it's prize, it's all lies while from under this building I cried: "if we overthrow the impossible the yoke of form has got to go the mind isn't kind by design. " I must finish the plan you can't understand this world was misaligned by man I dream as machine in the head instead we tread the place I mean to remake the current state is a mistake if they listened, my condition would bring about remission ___ And I see it now This is the way we all end a plague that walks like a man The end walks before me "You mean us harm... I can't let you leave here" i don't know how to stop it but I must try ____ ah, at last the light of day i do believe now we part ways I thank you for releasing me I'll return the favor and set you free have a safe trip I'll see you next fall (you probably don't get that one at all) it's been a blast but you don't understand so I banish you now to the the heat and the sand

Taken without reason Bound and hauled away Everyone you've ever known Nothing you can say Cannot change the Present The past infects its heart The future's where I now must go To make a better start And tomorrow stops the past that takes today
